We are excited to introduce our Olympus program. This Specialized Residential Facility (SRF) is designed for children. Our home is designed to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged seven to seventeen, offering a safe haven where they can thrive and grow.

A Cozy and Comfortable Living Space

Our children’s home features two separate living quarters, each thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. With six private bedrooms and three bathrooms, each child has their own personal space to feel comfortable and secure. The home also includes two living areas—a cozy living room and a welcoming family room—perfect for relaxation and bonding. Additionally, there is a dedicated area for food preparation, ensuring that mealtimes are both enjoyable and nutritious.

Tailored Support for Every Child

We understand that each child has unique needs, and our home is equipped to provide specialized care. Two of our beds are designated as step-down beds for children transitioning from a crisis home, while the remaining four beds are for permanent placement. At least two bedrooms are designed to accommodate non-ambulatory individuals, ensuring accessibility for all.

A Community Care Licensed Home

Our SRF is a Community Care Licensed home, dedicated to serving children with developmental disabilities. We offer a mixed-use environment that caters to both step-down and permanent placement needs. Our experienced and compassionate staff provide individualized support, with a staffing ratio of one-to-two during all waking hours, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they deserve.

Comprehensive Support Services

Children in our home receive support in various areas, including emotional self-regulation, anger management, and developing coping skills to minimize self-injurious behavior. We also focus on helping children form and maintain healthy attachments, comply with probation or diversion plans, and prevent substance abuse. Our services include medication management, healthcare access, and mental health services, all tailored to meet the specific needs of each child.

  • Children typically stay with us for twelve to eighteen months, as determined by their individualized person-centered plan (IPP). During this time, we work closely with each child to help them achieve stability and prepare for a successful future. Our goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where children can develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

  • Referrals to our home come from the Services and Supports department, ensuring that we serve those who need our care the most. We are proud to be located in San Luis Obispo County, providing a safe and welcoming community for the children in our care.

We invite you to consider our children’s home as a place where your child can find the support, care, and love they need to flourish. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please feel free to reach out to us.

Our program features two distinct living spaces, each tailored to meet the specific needs of our residents.

  • A Permanent Home

The front house offers a warm and stable home for individuals up to age 22. With dedicated staff support, residents enjoy a safe and caring environment where they can thrive. This permanent home setting ensures that each individual receives the consistent care and support they need to build a strong foundation for their future.

  • Transitional Living

The back house is designed for young adults aged 16 to 22 who are ready to practice more independent living. Here, residents receive the guidance and support they need while learning essential life skills, such as navigating public transportation and managing daily responsibilities. Our staff is always available to provide the right level of support, ensuring that each individual can achieve as much independence as possible.

Empowering Independence

While complete independence may not be possible for everyone, our program is dedicated to empowering each resident to reach their fullest potential. We believe in fostering independence through personalized support, helping individuals develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

A Supportive Community

Our Split Home Program creates a close-knit community where residents can build meaningful relationships and support each other on their journey to independence. With a focus on individualized care and a nurturing environment, we strive to make every resident feel valued and at home.
